What is the branding status?
When you add a new phone number and branding to your account or update a number’s existing branding, the changes must go through Branded Call’s vetting process. Our Vetting Services team reviews your numbers and branding and updates their status. This process often happens within a few hours but can take up to 48 hours – or more if further investigation or action is necessary. Once a phone number’s branding is approved, the number will be shown in the console with the approved attributes and details, and your branding will be delivered to devices when you make calls.
Branding statuses allow you to:
- Confirm that branding is active on all or some available networks
- Track the vetting process for your branding updates
- Know if there is a problem with your branding that may require action on your part
Where can I see the status of my branding?
The branding status is listed in the “Current status” column on the phone numbers page under the Branded Call section.
When your phone number’s status is underlined, clicking on the status will display detailed information about the status of your branding and any actions you may need to take.
You can also filter your phone numbers based on their current status.
What are the definitions of statuses?
Branded: Phone numbers receiving call branding across all Hiya-powered devices, carrier networks, and other distribution channels.
Changes pending: Branded phone numbers are awaiting approval for new branding elements. Active branding will not be updated until the changes are reviewed and approved. No action is needed on your side.
Limited distribution: Branding is active on Hiya-powered devices and some carrier networks, but it has not yet been delivered to all carrier networks. No action is needed on your side.
Needs attention: Phone numbers for which one or more branding elements have been disapproved. Any active branding has not been changed. Refer to the reason for the disapproval and Branded Call Requirements and Guidelines, and take action to re-enable the branding.
Unverified: A newly registered number not reviewed for validity or ownership. No action is needed on your side.
